Desirèe worked for the youth department in a national radio station. She was asked by a producer to sing Candy Girl. It was released as a single and her pop career began!

She traveled to major cities in Norway and Scandinavia, performing in small clubs. She took part in a cross-country tour arranged by national media and broadcast live on TV. She starred in the Radio 1 Big City event and was asked to host the Radio 1 Music Awards show.
