T .A.T.u.

Members are:

Elena Katina (Lena)
Yulia Volkova (Julia)

Called "Taty" in Russia, which translates roughly to "She Loves Her." Tatu, as they are called elsewhere, roughly means "This One, That One."

It isn't know whether they are lesbians or whether they use gay issues for marketing. However, they claim that it doesn't matter because they love each other and love is love- no need to label it with words.

After being together in a girl band in Russia, they made it with the hit "All the Things She Said." This song ripped up the charts in the USA as well and their album was one of the best sellers here. They saw lots of airtime on the radio as well as airtime on MTV, which played their controversial video in which they kiss.

They also performed during the 2003 MTV movie awards.

A mix of Pop, Rock, and Euro Dance.

There are several versions of her first CD. They also have a new version of their first CD called "Don't believe, Don't be Afraid, Don't Ask," which begins with their new song with that name.
