Whigfield is a project by Larry Pignagnoli and
is responsible for the smash hit "Saturday Night." The
project name was named after Sannie's piano teacher. Sannie was
born in Denmark but raised in South Africa.
It is debated by some people whether Annerley
Gordon sings backup or possibly even lead vocals on some or
all of Whigifeld's tracks. It is known that she writes the
lyrics.
Recently her megahit was redone -
"Saturday Night 2003"
Then a vinyl was released called "Battle
Mix: Whigfield vs. Ann Lee" This contained both
"Saturday Night 2003" and Ann Lee's newest single,
"No No No."
Her new single is "Was a
Time" and is doing well.
Two compilations have also been made recently: "Waiting for
Saturday Night" and also "X-Tremely Fun: Workout with Whiggy." Check those out
