| Kate Ryan |
Only If I |
Mar 2004 | LightSol | Great new single from Kate -
not written by her however. It is similar to "Libertine" in sound and
feeling. There are also some great mixes including: 1.Only if I
(Radio Edit) To me the most notable remix other than
the radio edit is the Silverroom. It offers a more acoustic, chilled out
sound. Her song "Hurry Up" is also on here - very similar to "Got to
Move On." She wrote this one. The video is also cool and shows some new
style for Kate. However it is somewhat of a huge advertisement at the
same time... Overall - go Kate! Very catchy song. |
| Ann Lee | No No No |
Jan 2004 | LightSol | Ann Lee sings out here more than in the "Dreams" album. Very funny lyrics - good spoken bridge like in "Voices" or Whigfield's "Beep Beep." There are 7 mixes although they are based on the radio mix and a house style mix. Also includes a Karaoke version for the bar! Could have included more diverse mixes, otherwise great and gets stuck in your head! Pick it up at www.zyx.de ! |

| E-Rotic | Cocktail E-Rotic |
Jan 2004 | LightSol | Lydia's vocals are excellent! The style is more trance/club oriented than before, similar to "Total Recall" except these are all new songs! The band also tried a little style experimentation with some tracks but also maintains tradition with "Rave Me Dave" and "Gimme Your Jimmy". Includes three remixed tracks - 16 tracks in all. A great album in all. |
| Captain Jack | The Party Warriors |
Jan 2004 | LightSol | This album followed the Japanese edition. Disappointingly, several tracks did not make it to this cut. I felt it really needed the extra songs, as there are several remixes and new editions of the Captain's past songs. Actually there's only 6 new songs! Centerfold & Give It Up are the strongest tracks here. Another thing that bothered me was that not all tracks seem to be mixed to the same level! "Stand Up" needs to be turned up to hear. Also in general the tracks seem to play at a low and inconsistant level. I'm hoping Cafe Cubar will be better. I was not happy with this album and think the Captain can do better. |
